Feasible Solutions to Flooding in Arlington Heights?

September 9, 2011 · Filed Under Events and News, Flood, Information Resources · Comments Off on Feasible Solutions to Flooding in Arlington Heights?

A year ago, the residents of Fort Worth met with city officials to discuss and ask questions regarding the flooding problems in Central Arlington Heights.

Some of the concerns and issues:

  • Solutions are taking too long
  • Who do I call in case of flood emergency?
  • Flood insurance claims
  • TAD appraisals too high
  • Do –it-yourself solutions – will the City help?
  • Citywide flooding problems
  • Can we use bonds to pay for solutions?
  • Water conservation
  • Development Regulations
  • Coordination with zoning commission
  • Storm Water Utility
  • Public Safety
  • Storm Drain Maintenance
  • Green space as preventive measure
  • Solutions – What kind are you considering?
  • When will Dirt Turn?
  • Why do we need PR?
