Recap of February’s Membership Meeting

February 20, 2013 · Filed Under Events and News, Information Resources

Thank you Bud Kennedy!  What an awesome (and patient) guest speaker we had at our AHNA meeting.   There were a good number of informational announcements during the meeting for which several neighbors requested to be reminded about.  Here they are:

Monday Februarys 25th 6pm to 730pm – – Public Meeting regarding the design & construction of major drainage improvements with in the block of ASHLAND AVENUE between El Campo Ave and Bryce Avenues.  City representatives and a design consultant will be in attendance for questions.  Meeting location:  4237 Lafayette Ave; Thomas Place Recreation Center

Tuesday February 26th  630pm to 8pm – – Town Hall Meeting with our District 7 Councilman, Dennis Shingleton and Fort Worth City Staff.  This is an open forum and questions and comments will be heard for those that will attend.  This is a great opportunity, DO NOT MISS OUT!  1000 Montgomery Street,  UNTHSC Room 109 (New 5-story Medical & Training Education Bldg)

Wednesday February 27th, 1:30pm – – Request for property at the SW Corner of Byers Ave & Margaret to replat this lot (50sq ft X 120 sq ft). Currently zoned B-2 (duplex)/ ONE LOT to replat to TWO lots that are 25 sq ft X 120 sq ft.  Which would allow each “half” of these units to be sold separately or individually.  They would share a roof, but the replatting of this lot would allow each half to be bought and sold individually.  This case # FS-013-006 goes to City Planning Commission on the above date.  Planning Commission has the final say (ie, does NOT go before City Council). City Hall, 1000 Throckmorton.

Wednesday March 13th, Case goes before City Zoning to allow for more parking lots requested by Christ Chapel Bible Church that enter further into Arlington Heights residential neighborhood.  City Hall, 1000 Throckmorton, 10am.  Case#  ZC-12-079 Christ Chapel Church / 3740 Birchman; Amend PD 449  additional property for parking Zoning Commission hearing: 3/13/13 City Council Hearing: 4/2/13
