CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF AHNA
It’s hard to believe that twenty years have gone by since AHNA was organized. In the late summer of 1999, a small group of Arlington Heights neighbors met in the library of South Hi Mount Elementary School to talk about forming a neighborhood association for Arlington Heights. On September 14, 1999, the first bylaws were voted on and adopted by the members of the newly formed Arlington Heights Neighborhood Association. Remarkably, a few of the original charter members have remained active in AHNA through all these years.
We salute everyone who has pitched in over the years to make AHNA the award-winning organization it is today. We are thankful for the eight different presidents we have so ably served at the helm and the hundred-plus board members who have given so freely of their time and talents. We recognize it takes all of us pulling together through thick and thin to make Arlington Heights the best neighborhood it can possibly be. Here’s to Arlington Heights forever.
