AHNA MEETING TUESDAY MARCH 21
Please join us for the next AHNA Membership Meeting. This is an open meeting, everyone is welcome to attend.
Tuesday March 21st at 6:30pm
Fort Worth Firefighters Hall
3855 Tulsa Way at Crestline Rd.
Neighborhood Patrol Officer Andy Morquecho will give his monthly neighborhood crime report.
GUEST SPEAKER: Plant expert Steve McCoy from Archie’s Gardenland. Spring has sprung, so it’s time to start planting. Steve has been with Archie’s for 36 years, so the man knows his plants better than just about anyone. The format will be Q & A, so bring Steve your most challenging garden questions.
Archie’s Gardenland started in Arlington Heights in 1934 in N.E. Archie’s backyard on Birchman Avenue. Within a few years, Archie’s business had grown to the point he opened up Archie’s Planter Box at 4906 Camp Bowie. Today, it is one of Fort Worth’s oldest garden centers and is considered one of the best. The business moved to its current Ridglea location in 1952 when the area was still undeveloped pasture land. Archie’s Gardenland covers five acres with fourteen greenhouses. Randall Archie, the great grandson of N.E. Archie Sr., is now at the helm of this Fort Worth garden institution.
Many thanks to Uncle Julio’s for providing free chips and hot sauce for the membership meeting. They are located at 5301 Camp Bowie Blvd., 817-377-2777.
