Annual Easter Celebration at Thomas Place

May 6, 2009 · Filed Under Events and News

More than 170 attendees, volunteers, and Thomas Place staff participated in the annual Easter celebration at Thomas Place on Saturday April 11th to dye eggs, color rabbit ears, devour hot dogs, jump in bounce houses, scramble for 500 candy filled Easter eggs, meet the Easter bunny, and enjoy each others’ company.

A special thanks to AHNA block captains for getting word out to the neighborhood about this fun gathering. Thanks in part to a partnership with Arlington Heights, “next year we are planning on making this event bigger and better, with more eggs for kids to find, more art activities, and more food,” said Ricky Cotto, Thomas Place recreation programmer. “Remember, Thomas Place is here to serve you.”

The Easter celebration is the first of many events we hope to coordinate together. Thomas Place is a wonderful facility! If you haven’t checked out all it has to offer lately, we encourage you to stop by. In addition to offering economically priced work out facilities, Thomas Place provides many opportunities for kids to interact with each other responsibly including after school programs and summer camp.
