CARLETON AND WESTERN CITY-OWNED HOMES UPDATE
The deadline for bids to buy one of the eight city-owned homes on Carleton and Western Avenues closed at the end of February. The Stormwater Department just released the final results of the bids for each of the homes.
The good news is there were multiple bids for all the homes. Yellow Door Renovations was the highest bidder for six of the homes. The other two homes had the highest offers from adjacent property owners.
After discussing the bids, City management announced that sometime in April they’ll advance the highest bids to the City Council for final approval to sell the properties. Closing on the sales is expected to take place about two months after City Council approval.
All of these properties must be redeveloped per the required guidelines and timeframes.
