Our June General Membership meeting featured a presentation from Otis Thornton, homelessness coordinator for the city of Fort Worth. This important presentation covered homeless in Fort Worth, common misconceptions, and outline the City’s 10-year plan to end homeless, Directions Homes. The City of Fort Worth and its partner agencies are working to make homelessness a rare, short-term and non-recurring experience in Cowtown by 2018 through the Directions Home program.
