Councilwoman Macy Hill emailed to neighbors the following police report that was published on October 1, 2024 about the gunfire incident that occurred in the 4700 block of Crestline Road on the evening of September 30, 2024:

On Monday, 09/30/2024, at approximately 2230 hours, Fort Worth Police Officers responded to a call involving shots being fired in the 4700 block of Crestline Rd. A witness on the scene saw a dark-colored pickup truck driving at a high rate of speed down Crestline Rd.

The witness told officers that they flashed their lights at the vehicle, hoping to get it to slow down. Later, the witness heard multiple gunshots coming from the vehicle as it continued driving Westbound down Crestline Rd. There have been no reports of anyone being shot at or struck by gunfire, nor have there been any reports of houses or cars being stuck by gunfire. Officers checked the area and located multiple shell casings in the road near the location where the shots were heard.

At this time, there is no evidence suggesting that this was a targeted attack or that there is any gang affiliation. Fort Worth has obtained video of a dark-colored pickup truck driving at a high rate of speed and is looking into identifying that truck and its occupants as possible suspects.

Fort Worth Police are actively investigating this incident. If you or anyone you know has any video of the suspect vehicle driving in the area, please contact Detective Vyers #3217. He can be reached by phone at 817-392-4739 or by email at Billy.Vyers@fortworthtexas.gov.

Please note that there will also be increased patrols in the area. As always, please report any suspicious activity to your Neighborhood Patrol Officer.
