KERA launches Living with the Trinity website, radio series

May 13, 2009 · Filed Under Events and News

KERA’s Living with the Trinity multimedia project explores the history of North Texans’ relationship with the Trinity River with a new Web site at www.TrinityRiverTexas.org, a series of radio reports to air May 12 to 15 on KERA-FM, and a television documentary to air on KERA-TV in the fall of 2009.

The intent of Living with the Trinity is to make the Trinity River visible again, to restore the river to its rightful place in the consciousness of those who depend upon it.  In doing so, we seek to connect a knowledge of our historical relationship to the Trinity to the way we live our lives today.  It is our hope that this knowledge will enable all of us to make better choices regarding our future relationship to the river and to the environment through which it flows. Living with the Trinity is made possible through a leadership grant from The Meadows Foundation with additional support provided by the Dixon Water Foundation. Source, Pegasus News and KERA
