Learn To Conserve at Free Gardening Seminar

Learn to cultivate a beautiful lawn and garden while you conserve our region’s water at the Yard Smart seminar, 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 15 at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden Center’s Lecture Hall, 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd.

The seminar is free and open to the public. No pre-registration is required.

Randy Weston, founder and owner of Weston Gardens in Bloom Inc., will speak on “Native Plants and Water-Saving Landscapes.” Tarrant County AgriLife water resources specialist Dotty Woodson will discuss “Wonders of Irrigation.” The third session, “Ask the Experts,” is a one-hour discussion involving four gardening and irrigation professionals.

Tours of the Water Conservation Garden are available.
