The AHNA membership meeting scheduled for Tuesday March 17, 2020 is postponed until Tuesday April 21, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at Fort Worth Firefighters Association Hall, 3855 Tulsa Way @ Crestline Road.

Special guest speaker will be award-winning gardening expert Dotty Woodson, a veritable goddess of sustainable landscapes. Recently retired after more than thirty years with Texas A & M AgriLife Extension Service, Dotty’s presentation on April 21 will include ideas of how to incorporate native plants into our gardens.

Retirement has allowed Dotty to devote more time to the true love of her life: orchids.  With her husband Berry, Dotty began growing orchids almost fifty years ago.  The greenhouses at their D & B Orchids includes more than 5,000 square feet of orchids, as well as some ferns and carnivorous plants.  Mark your calendars for their public open house on Saturday April 18 at 5608 Boat Club Rd. from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
