If you live near or travel Montgomery Street, tonight’s’s Arlington Heights Neighborhood Association (AHNA) meeting will be of great interest to you. Arlington Heights Neighborhood Association board members have been working diligently with the City of Fort Worth to do everything to mitigate the traffic and parking issues that will surely come with the opening of the multipurpose arena. Kirk Slaughter, Public Events Dept Director & James Horner, Assistant Facilities & Public Events Director, both with the City of Fort Worth will be at tomorrow’s meeting to discuss the outcome of the parking study, preferred alternatives and the next steps for the parking and traffic plan. This will be an ongoing project through the next few years until the final unveiling in 2019.  Before you know it, a couple years will have flown by.  Fort Worth and AHNA are listening to our neighbors, be heard.  See you tonight.

AHNA yearly elections for the board will be discussed tonight.  In August there was no general membership meeting, therefore, our AHNA President will take nominations from the floor tonight.  If there are no nominations, the nominating committee will present the slate of candidates for October’s election.
