Guest speaker: Jeffrey Law, Executive Director and Chief Appraiser at Tarrant Appraisal District. TAD is responsible for valuating all the properties in Tarrant County. Mr. Law will include in his remarks a short history of the appraisal district, the methodology the district uses, and the appeals process in place for property owners who don’t agree with their valuation. He will also cover real estate trends and new legislation that relates to property taxes.
Also on the meeting agenda is the election of the 2013 AHNA officers, so make sure you have paid your membership dues in order to vote.
