Join the Parks and Community Services Department and The Friendship Force of Fort Worth at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, as they dedicate the International Friendship Garden in Bluebonnet Circle Park, located on South University Drive.

The dedication was originally scheduled for April 18, but was rescheduled due to bad weather.

The $17,500 joint project is part of an effort by the city and neighborhood groups to improve Bluebonnet Circle Park.

The Friendship Force of Fort Worth hosts and coordinates one-to-two week exchange programs with countries worldwide. The club has hosted 24 exchanges and been hosted on 31 exchanges since its founding in 1986.

Symbolizing the cultural exchange provided by Friendship Force programs, the garden will include flowers planted to bloom each month of year and commemorative bricks will be added during future international exchanges.
