STOCK SHOW PARKING

From the City of Fort Worth

Dear Neighbor,

The City of Fort Worth is busy making final preparations for the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. It’s hard to believe this event will be riding into town next month.

This year’s shows will be January 14 – February 5, 2011. Horses, bulls, cowboys and lots of cars will be the order of business near the Will Rogers Memorial Complex.

As in previous years, the City will be installing paper “No Parking” signs along Tulsa Way, Washburn, Harley, Lafayette Avenues as well as Watonga and Owasso Streets. (See the Map at bottom of this text)

Towing of parked cars in these areas will be strictly enforced so emergency vehicles, residents and property owners have access to the area.

In the event your neighborhood wishes to allow curbside parking and removal of the paper signs during the run of the Stock Show, a petition should be submitted to the Transportation and Public Works Department. Signatures of two-thirds of the residents of one side of a block are required for signs to be removed.

For more information or to obtain a petition, call 817-392-8057.
