THANKSGIVING POT LUCK PHOTO ROUNDUP
This year’s annual AHNA Thanksgiving Pot Luck Dinner was the biggest in recent memory. Long-time members came out of the woodwork, along with many new faces. The food was simply spectacular.
The winners of the Turkey Cook Off Challenge were Kanani Mahelona’s roasted turkey stuffed with figs, carrots, celery, grapes and cranberries; Meda Kessler with her delicious turkey gumbo and turkey sliders with mayo and cranberry sauce; and Robert Gorden’s perfectly deep fried turkey.
Railhead Smokehouse BBQ generously donated twenty pounds of their unbeatable smoked turkey breasts. Sumptuous offerings by neighbors were the toppers. Proof is in the fantastic photos taken by AHNA member Thad Blizzard and AHNA President Lori Murray-Bosken.
Thank you to all the AHNA board members and friends who made this memorable event happen, including Paula Brown who created the table decorations with loan contributions from Arlington Heights United Methodist Church; Shanna Cisneros who put together a memorable powerpoint loop that looked back on all the wonderful things that happened in Arlington Heights Neighborhood Association in 2023; Paul Hunter, our technical wizard and musical deejay, who made the powerpoint loop happen; Masons from Arlington Heights Lodge #1184 who helped set up all the tables and chairs; and Brenda Helmer and Melissa Hunter who always do whatever needs doing.
Can’t wait until next year’s pot luck!
