TRASH TEAM NEEDS HELP

March 3, 2023 · Filed Under Events and News

It’s time to clean up the neighborhood.  We need your help.

Arlington Heights Neighborhood Association is recruiting neighbors for a one day trash pickup event.  It’s part of the citywide annual Cowtown Cleanup on Saturday, March 25 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  It’s an excellent way to meet neighbors, get some exercise, and do something for your community.  Plus, you get a free t-shirt and gloves out of the deal.

AHNA cleanup efforts will focus on Calmont Avenue, between Clover Lane and Owasso Street. If time allows, the team will move to Stripling Middle School and South Hi Mount Elementary School.

This year’s AHNA Trash Goddess is Shanna Cisneros.  To sign on to be part of this year’s trash team, contact her at shafw@aol.com.  She’ll do all the coordinating and registration. Be sure to include this information:
• Name
• Address
• Phone number
• T-shirt size (Youth M, Youth L, Adult S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL)
• Glove size (S, M, L, XL)

Donuts, bottled water, EZ Reachers and trash bags will be provided.

Deadline to sign on to the AHNA team is Friday, March 10.  T-shirt and gloves will be delivered on your porch on Friday, March 24, the day before the event.

Volunteers will be treated to the free Earth Party at Trinity Park following the trash pickup event.  The party starts at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and includes a free hot dog lunch, entertainment, and vendors.
