VOLUNTEER PAINTERS NEEDED FOR COWTOWN BRUSH UP
About 3,500 volunteers are needed to form “painting teams” of 12-25 people to paint a house for a local family that qualifies for the Cowtown Brush Up program.
The City of Fort Worth Housing and Economic Development Department has sponsored the annual Cowtown Brush Up for nearly two decades. The program helps spruce up the homes of residents who might not be able to afford it on their own. Nearly 2,000 homes have been painted since the program began.
This year’s event is Oct. 3, with a goal of painting 140 houses.
