Constant vigilance includes wearing insect repellent with DEET if you’re outdoors, especially if it’s between dusk to dawn when mosquitos are most active.  Long sleeves and pants are also recommended.  At home, remove all standing water in flowerpots and pet bowls, keep your grass mowed, gutters clean and dried leaves raked.  In birdbaths, using mosquito dunks are an effective way to deter mosquitos from breeding there.

Call 817-392-1234 to report standing water outside of your yard.
